DIY Infant Captain America Costume

For those of you not familiar with the comic book character, Captain America, this is him:

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED:

Onesie

Long sleeved onesie

Cloth diaper

Gloves

Socks

Hat

White Felt

Paint

Dye

Foam

Hair-tie

THIS COSTUME COST ME UNDER $20 TO MAKE

This is how it started off:

STEP ONE:

Dye socks red. Dye short sleeved onesie and hat blue.

STEP TWO:

Paint red stripes on cloth diaper.

STEP THREE:

Cut out a star and the letter “A” from white felt. Glue or sew this to outfit.

STEP FOUR:

Make shield. Cut out circle from cardboard. Glue red foam to circle. Glue white felt circles to red foam. Color outside of star blue. Put two small holes into the shield and tie a red hair-tie through it. This is to hold the shield on baby’s wrist.

PUT IT ALL TOGETHER AND THIS IS THE RESULT:
